Show N Tell July 2015

Well the July meeting was awhile ago now. Sorry I’m so late in posting, but I thought I better before the August meeting comes and goes too!

010
Marion Moon made these two quilts after taking a club class with Pam Carr.

013
Rose Silvester made this cushion for Jean King’s 80th Birthday.

015
Shelia Ujdur made this for her son and daughter in-law to hang in their Music Room.

The July Meeting was also a “Mini Symposium” day with ten club members demonstrating different quilting techniques. There was seminole piecing, woven fabric, easy piecing, foundation piecing, thread painting, and heaps more! I can’t remember them all.

I did my demo several times throughout the day, so I didn’t get to see the others Sad smile.
That was the only negative of the day. I'm sure all of us demonstrating felt that way.

The committee made wonderful soups for our lunch, which was perfect as it was a chilly day. During the lunch break I took the show n tell photos and also got a couple of the demos tables snapped too.

Here is Sonya’s demo as she left it to go to lunch. She was Demo-ing thread painting, and I think she  also shared one of her OMG (Organic Modern Graphic) quilts.

018
And this was Lynda’s demo table. She was demo-ing “Inchies” and different ways to use these decorative miniatures. (see a little box made from inchies in the top right of this photo)

Ok that’s all the photos I took, I wanted to have my soup before lunch was over!

  1. I saw Welcome to the Food Chain on Pinterest. Please pass on congratulations to the maker. It looks like that was a really fun day to participate in.
