Anyway on with the Show n Tell from last weekend's club meeting.

Friendship Star made by Lynne Wilson, quilted by Sandy Robinson.
Lynne has had this on the go for a few years, so is very pleased it's now finished.

Close up ... there are thousands of 1/2 square triangles!
The quilt is very large and fits Lynne's super king bed well.

Jenny Gough made this wall hanging in a class with Petra Pilkington.

Close up, there are so many little details, the more you look the more you see.

Jacobean Journey made by Hazel Phillips. I love the snail.
Table Runner I think Pam Carr made it. Email me if I have that wrong.
And sorry the sun streaming in the window wasn't helping!

Patricia Smith made this cute kitten cot quilt.

Hazel Phillips made this in a class with Janet Greeks at the Loose Ends group.

Roz Baker made this bag from a magazine pattern. Isn't the chicken fabric great?
Now the rest of the photo's are some of the 'Works in Progress' from Taupo Symposium Classes.I didn't manage to get a photo of everything. Some had been packed up. These didn't have labels with them either so I'm going from memory of who did what. So if I've made mistakes let me know.

By Gaye Millar from a class with Carole Brungar. The background was made with the paper of used tea bags. The images were freemotion stitched without drawing them first!

Janet Greeks made this in a class with Kathleen Sage. Layers of organza, stitched and cut away with a solidering iron. Amazing work.

Close up, sorry it's not clearer but hope you can see the '3Dness' of the work.

When Janet came home she made this version.
Sorry the photo is so bad the background was so shiny and I couldn't do better.

Close up of Sunflower.

Landscape made by Kath Graham, sorry I can't remember which class it was from.

Lynda Parker made this in a class with Jane Rixen .

This is from a class with Jennie Rayment.
I think it was Sandy Robinson who did the class. Let me know if I'm wrong.

Jess Fraser & Gaye Millar coloured these stitched panels in a class with (I think!) Sharon Bradley.

Brooches made in a class with Carole Brungar, by Gaye Millar & Leonie Olsen.

Now my memory is fading but I think this beading is by Shirley Julian or maybe Robin Halverson. Sorry but I'm sure someone will put me right! And I can't remember the tutor either, sorry.

Gee some great quilts, everyone has been very busy!
ReplyDeleteWow - I wish I had been there in person to see everyone's projects. Looks like we all had a blast at Symposium. Well done everyone and Leeann for documenting it all.
ReplyDeleteLove Lynne's friendship star quilt!!
ReplyDeleteAnd please pass on my thanks to the committee for the card I recently received after I was in hospital :)
