This is in honour of Selvage Blog having one of my photo’s on it today. Not a sewing photo, a beach photo as there is so much snow in the USA at the moment they need cheering up!

My favourite Christmas food is strawberries. My Hubby has a large veggie garden so we grow our own. As we had a couple of days with a lot of rain (yay drought broken!) the strawberries have grown really large.
My son picked this strawberry as its really massive about 3 times the normal size, and was just about to eat it. Then he found this on the other side!
Some snail has had his Christmas dinner early!
Oscar the cat also thought all his Christmas’s had come at once, when I was re-filling his cat biscuit container from the bulk bag. I didn’t have the heart to stop him.

UPDATE I have had a comment that the programme wouldn't play. You do need broadband, but there's another tip I forgot to put in this post. If you are having trouble and it won't load or is jumpy, make sure the button on the far right of the task bar reads faster internet speeds NOT slower internet speeds. I have a screen shot below and I have Circled the button in red. It's come up small on the blog so if you can't see it then click on it to make it bigger! Hope this helps. Good Luck.
PS I can't get the Linda Taylor programme to work at all, but I think that's a problem at their end as the others work fine.
The Quilt Show has several shows running for free at the moment. These are like TV shows and are about 45 minutes long. They are extremely good, and have heaps of tips, and demo's of different techniques by some of the worlds leading quilters. I'm sure you will enjoy them, that's why I'm recommending them!

Shirley Julian was insipired by Hazel Foot’s recent class and made ‘Secret Garden’ Close up below of the copper leaves, and see the sequin waste? Shirley said she really enjoyed all the different techniques that Hazel taught.
Sue Farrier made these cushions for a couple that she house minded for. She also looked after their two lovely cats & made cushions with the cats photo’s as a thank you gift.
Lynda Parker made this bag from a club magazine. She said it’s very easy and plans to make more.
The hall looked very festive at our meeting. We asked our club members to bring Christmas quilts to display, here are some for you to enjoy.
And of course we had a shared lunch.Yum
Yesterday was our last meeting for 2010. It was a great day, with all our usual activities plus the Christmas Challenge. The Challenge this year was to use at least 5 Christmas buttons on an item. There were 17 entries, with the top 5 receiving a prize. (decided by viewers choice)
1st was this cool fabric Christmas card
2nd was this glitzy Christmas tree (the yoyo are made with a sequin fabric and really sparkled)
3rd is this cute snow man. Looks like he was sick of the cold! Just as well it’s summer here
4th was this lovely candle, with poinsettias
and 5th was a patchwork wreath. I really like the snowflake buttons, curved piecing and the jingle bells
