Road to Colour

Photos from the 'Road to Colour' Exhibition at the Hamilton Craft and Quilt Fair.

The Road to Colour is made up of a group of traditional and contemporary quilters who meet four times a year. Their focus is working with colour.

I loved the black and white prints as background and large florals as centre pieces.

These teapots were fun.

This was much redder than it shows here and really glowed.

This the quilt that won Viewer Choice in 2013, it was wrapped around a pillar at the beginning of the Road to Colour display. I love the quilting (detail below).

  1. WOW! Colour and more colour! I fancy the tea pot one, wouldn't it look cool hanging in a Cafe!

  2. They are all beautiful, but I'm particularly drawn to the Sunburst one - probably because I'd never make a pattern like that myself, and I love those colours!
