Here's last Saturday's Show n Tell.
Helen Barnes made this for a baby due in November, from a pattern by "Hot Possum"
Fiona Carter made this I Spy Quilt for her Grand Daughters 5th birthday.
Merle Armiger made this for her son's friend who wanted a sketch recreated in fabric.
Jane Robinson made this for her sixth Grand Child. I love how Jane has put Donna's name in the quilt.
This is the top that Jane Made on the second day of our retreat at St Francis. (The quilt above was made on the first day)
Tric Carter quilted this at the retreat too. Tric made this for a friend to give to her one year old grandson.
Susan McRae made this with fabrics she bought at Calico Christmas last year. Quilted by John Nielsen.
Rosslee Baker made these cushion covers at our recent Retreat.
The birds are a Jenny Hunter design (New Zealand Quilter)
Rosslee also made these modern cushion covers.
Ann Field was unlucky to contract Shingles recently, but put her convalescing time to good use and knitted this blanket. Much better than I was when I had them, I just watched TV!
This is my (Leeann) Split Nine Patch blocks that I sewed together at our retreat at St Francis in Auckland.
I'm still deciding whether I will put large borders on it, or sew more blocks.
Lynne O'Donnell made this with many layers of Organza, lots of stitching and then using a soldering iron to cut out the design.
Rose Silvester is going to Norfolk Island with her daughter later this year for a Patchwork Retreat.
Everyone going has been asked to make a pincushion to bring. I photographed her from above so you could see the lovely roses that Rose has stitched on her Hat. See more of her in the next photo too.
And lastly a useful bag made by Lynne Wilson.
Ooooo. Love your split 9 patch. I'm doing the one with the 3 hst for the second time now! I'll try your way on the next one. Such a great pattern and so easy to do : ) Thanks for the post Leeann!
ReplyDeleteLovin' you quilt, very pretty. Looks like a stained glass window.
ReplyDeleteAlways great to see Show and Tell, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove the way your quilt looks like stained glass against the window!
ReplyDeleteHuh - I too love the 'stained glass' look of your spilt 9-patch in front of the window... And I also love Helen's quilt too :) Cheers
